Filmmaking icon Joss Whedon has confirmed that Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch will appear in his sequel to Avengers Assemble.

Talking to IGN, Whedon revealed "You know, they had a rough beginning. They're interesting to me because they sort of represent the part of the world that wouldn't necessarily agree with The Avengers.

So they're not there to make things easier. I'm not putting any characters in the movie that will make things easier."

Saoirse Ronan is the hot favourite to take on the role of Scarlet Witch while there is no news on who will be Quicksilver.

The Dark Knight trilogy filmmaker Christopher Nolan has reportedly entered "informal talks" with franchise producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson to direct the 24th James Bond adventure.

A source tells the Daily Mail "It does no harm for Broccoli and Wilson to talk with Nolan, even if nothing happens this time round."

Nolan is about to make sci-fi blockbuster Interstellar with Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine, meaning that if he was the man to direct the next James Bond outing, it wouldn't happen immediately.

Warner Bros. Man of Steel opens in cinemas next month, and it would appear that one of the iconic characters has been reimagined for the reboot.

A post on ComicBook.com shows a picture from one of the Man of Steel tie-in books that shows a caption revealing Jenny Olsen portrayed by Rebecca Buller, and according to a source the character is the sister of Jimmy Olsen as opposed to the rumoured gender swap.
