First Look of Karl Urban as Judge Dredd

We are pleased to make available to you the very first picture direct from the set of the new Judge Dredd film starring Red hardman Karl Urban.

The Peter Travis directed Dredd is shooting in South Africa right now, and finds the 2000AD Street Judge trapped in a particularly nasty tower in Mega City One with new recruit Cassandra Anderson played by The Wackness babe Olivia Thirlby facing a load of the city’s toughest criminals. The film is said to be dark and gritty from a script by Alex Garland.

The film is slated for a 2012 release, however there is no official date announced yet. Stay tuned for more on Judge Dredd as it develops.
