The Dark Knight Rises heavyweight Tom Hardy was a fan of The Littlest Hobo as a child

With The Dark Knight Rises finally in cinemas, Tom Hardy who plays the villainous behemoth Bane in Christopher Nolan's third and reportedly final outing for the caped crusader has admitted that he was never a fan of Batman as a child.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, the England born actor said "I wasn't a fan of Batman as a child, not at all, really.
I know that sounds a bit strange, but I was more into The Littlest Hobo and things like that."
Hardy who is known for the likes of Warrior, Inception, and Layer Cake is currently filming the long awaited return to cinema for Mad Max, where he takes on the title role made famous by Mel Gibson.
Under the direction of franchise creator George Miller, Mad Max: Fury Road also stars Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Riley Keough, Zoe Kravitz and Transformers: Dark of the Moon's Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Hardy will next be seen in Lawless alongside Transformers franchise star Shia LaBeouf which opens nationwide on September 7.
