SYNOPSIS
AMERICAN TEEN is the touching and hilarious Sundance hit that follows the lives of five teenagers – a jock, a popular girl, a heartthrob, an artsy girl and a geek – in one small town in Indiana through their senior year of high school. We see the insecurities, the cliques, the jealousies, the first loves and heartbreaks, and the struggle to make profound decisions about the future.
High school is never easy; insecurities, exams, relationships, friendships and fights are all part of the daily drama that runs through the halls. In American Teen we follow a group of graduating high school seniors – the jock, the geek, the princess, the heartthrob, the rebel – struggling through their daily dilemmas and counting down the days to ‘freedom’. Each of them has a an ambition, whether it is to play basketball, go to college, or simply get a girlfriend, but only time will tell if they can achieve their dreams.
