Life hasn't always been easy for cynical club singer Jane DeLuca (Whoopi Goldberg). Men have always been a mystery to uptight career girl Robin (Mary-Louise Parker), and outrageously irresponsible Holly (Drew Barrymore) falls in love every day. Three totally different women set off together on a cross couontry trip of a lifetime, with nothing in common but their painful desire for a better future.
