His daughter is dead. Victim of a tragic accident and now John Baxters life is unraveling.

John, a building restoration expert is viewing slides of his next commission, a church in Venice, when he notices an odd red figure sitting in one of the pews. A figure in a red hood. Uncertainly a premonition of disaster then sweeps him and he rushes to the garden where he finds his daughter still dressed in her shiny, red mac, in the pond, dead. Soon after the world starts to turn darker. After the funeral he and his wife continue to Venice to try and bury their grief under a carpet of work but events begin to take a life of their own and he finds himself unable to avoid being sucked into them.

Follow a tale of twists, psychological anguish and hope. Disaster, redemption and death.
