A hallucinogenic road movie based on gonzo jounralist Hunter S. Thompson's semi-autobiographical 1971 novel. Whacked-out journalist Raoul Duke and attorney pal Oscar Zeta Acosta groove from L.A. to Vegas to cover a motor cycle race. Along the way they pick up Lucy, a teenage runaway who joins the pair on their madcap weekend.
