Peter O'Toole stars as the drunken owner of the Castle Hotel which he desperately needs to sell to pay off his endless bills. To attract buyers, he advertises the property as the most ghost-ridden hotel in the Emerald Isle... Unfortunately, when prospective buyers arrive, he press-gangs his loyal staff to form a makeshift bunch of fake phantoms. The buyers soon get wise to the ruse however, and all seems lost until a real bunch of ghosts turns up...
