Based on the novel Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, this is the story of anthropologist Dr. Ethan Powell who, after years spent living among the mountain gorillas of Africa, is committed to a mental institution after killing some poachers. While under lock and key, he verbally spars with a young psychiatrist trying to get at the truth behind the murders. Oh yeah, Powell also has a little secret that could affect the future of mankind.
