This period drama is set during the Jacobite rebellion in Scotland. A young man David Balfour arrives to claim his inheritance but his wicked uncle attempts to kill him and then unduly ships him off to be sold as a slave. Michael Caine stars as Alan Breck, in a spirited performance, who befriends David and acts as gallant mentor and protector.
