Local celebrity TV weatherman Russ Richards (John Travolta) is on the verge of losing his shirt. What money he doesn't squander on his own lavish lifestyle he loses in an unsuccessful snowmobile dealership he owns in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Desperate to avert financial ruin, Russ schemes with Crystal Latroy (Lisa Kudrow), the TV stations lotto ball girl, to rig the state lottery drawing. The numbers come up right, but everything else goes wrong as their plan starts to unravel and the game turns rough.
