Dutch Van Den Broeck is a sergeant in the Washington DC police department and Kay Chandler a New Hampshire congresswoman. Both of their careers and their marriages depend on trust - or so they thought until they are thrown together when Dutch's wife and Kay's husband perish in a plane crash. Their grief takes on new dimensions when they discover that the two were travelling on 'Mr and Mrs' tickets carrying identical keys in their pockets...
