From producers Judd Apatow and Shauna Robertson (The 40 Year Old Virgin), screenwriters Evan Goldberg & Seth Rogen ("Da Ali G Show"), and director Greg Mottola comes Superbad, a coming-of-age cautionary tale about two socially inept teenage boys about to graduate high school.

Theirs is a ridiculously dependent friendship - but now they've gotten into different colleges and are forced to contemplate life apart. Evan is sweet, smart, and generally terrified. Seth is foul-mouhthed, volatile, and all-consumed with the topic of human sexuality. This is the story of their misguided attempts to reverse a lifelong losing streak with the ladies in one panic-driven night..... That awful, humilating night you cherish for the rest of your life.

"so many mind bogglingly hilarious one-liners in the film that I will need to watch it again"

I found Superbad to be surprisingly brilliant. There were so many mind bogglingly hilarious one-liners in the film that I will need to watch it again to see which ones I missed while I was laughing. This is a film that I could definitely watch again. It had its completely gross-out awkward moments, but those were grounded by its hilariously absurd and witty conversations.

The film is sharply shot, for a comedy or otherwise, and its unadulterated editing makes its subject matter feel fresh and authentic. The film does not contain a great deal of nudity, but the sexual dialog is stretched to a maximum. There isn't a weak link in the cast, Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Seth Rogen and others do a great job as does director Greg Mattola on his first big project.
