Liverpool's vibrant music scene, featuring wild underground raves, is turned upside-down after an American-hating Brit, his assassin girlfriend, and an American chemist introduce an unpredictable new designer drug. Set in England, The 51st State stars Samuel L. Jackson as an American master chemist who sets up a drug deal for a quick, one-time score. However, the chemist's seemingly simple plan goes awry as he becomes entangled in a web of double-crosses.
