Ashton Kutcher of MTV fame stars in this horror-thriller that's not afraid to have fun with itself.

Brought to you from the writers of Final Destination 2, THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT poses the question; if any moment in time has the potential to determine the course of the future, what would happen if the past could be revisited and that moment changed? Does the simple flap of a butterfly's wings have the potential to trigger a tornado thousands of miles away?

Evan Treborn (ASHTON KUTCHER) has lost track of time. Throughout his life crucial moments have disappeared into a black hole of forgetting. His childhood is marred by a series of terrifying events he cannot remember.

Under the care of a psychologist Evan is encouraged to keep a journal to help him piece together his fragmented life. Years later whilst at college Evan re-visits his old journals and discovers he has the power to re-visit the past and change the future. The question is will that future be better than the horrific past he leaves behind?
