SYNOPSIS

In Richard Marquand’s WWII-era thriller, Faber (Donald Sutherland), a German spy washes up on a small island off the Scottish coast and is taken in by Lucy, (Kate Nelligan), the frustrated wife of a paraplegic (Christopher Cazenove). Her desire for intimacy is immediately apparent to the equally lonely spy, who quickly seduces the wife and begins to plot his escape from the island so that he can report back to Germany with news about the impending D-Day invasion. Will Lucy figure out who Faber is and stop him from successfully completing his mission.
