When Grace Beasley's (Kathy Bates) husband (Dan Aykroyd) leaves her, she sets off on an impulsive trip abroad to attend the funeral of her idol Victor Fox (Jonathan Pryce). In the process, she gets caught up in a wild and extraordinary adventure with an ulikely companion who convinces her to start living life on her own terms.
