We couldn’t be more excited about the release of Happy Feet Two which is out now on 3D Blu-Ray, Blu-ray Triple Play and DVD. To celebrate here are some career retrospectives of the fantastic cast...

Elijah Wood

Films that gave birth to his career
The thirty-one year old that is blessed with genes that make him look fifteen...whilst Elijah had notable roles in sci-fi horror The Faculty (1998) and Deep Impact, (1998) the film that undoubtedly put him in the spotlight is The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring (2001). Elijah played the role of a loveable hobbit by the name of Frodo Baggins. Frodo and his potato loving brother from another mother Samwise Gamgee invite us to join them for what has to be one the most epic adventure films of all times.

Memorable Roles

Following the huge success of The Fellowship of the Ring at the box office, Elijah put in two more incredible performances as TLOTR trilogy spanned over three years. Elijah proved his versatility in Sin City (2005) playing the role of Kevin, a cannibalistic serial killer. We can’t say we saw that casting coming!

Project on the horizon to keep an eye on!
The obvious role for Elijah is the prequel to The Lord of The Rings trilogy, The Hobbit (2012). Due to be released in two parts, we couldn’t be more excited!

Brad Pitt

Films that gave birth to his career
Without doubt, one of the most well known actors in the industry, not only is Brad Pitt blessed with dashing looks, he’s a first rate actor. His first leading roles were in A River runs through it (1992), Interview with the Vampire (1994) and Legends of the fall (1994). Come 1995, Pitt had grabbed the attention of many casting directors and has since starred in films that justify why he is unanimously regarded as one of the most talented actors of our time.

Memorable roles

Where to start?! Pitt gave critically acclaimed performances in multiple films in the same year; 1995 was a good year for Brad. In case his performances in Se7en (1995) didn’t satisfy the masses; he went and won best supporting actor at the Oscars for his role in 12 Monkeys (1995) cast alongside Bruce Willis and Christopher Plummer. Since then, Brad has starred in many films we recommend you watch (or re-watch if you’ve already seen them!) including the cult hit Fight Club (1999), Ocean’s 11 (2001), Inglorious Basterds (2009), the beautiful ‘Tree of Life’ (2011) and most recently ‘Moneyball’(2012), even if baseball isn’t your thing we advise you check it out.

Project on the horizon to keep an eye on!
Due for release in June 2013, we have our eyes on Zombie action flick World War Z

Matt Damon

Film that gave birth to his career
Matt’s breakthrough performance came in Good Will Hunting (1997), cast alongside veteran Robin Williams he couldn’t have been in better hands (who is also in Happy Feet Two! Calm down, we’ll get on to him next we promise). The film took twenty-two times its budget at the box office and saw rebellious twenty year old genius Will Hunting come to terms with what’s really important in life.

Memorable Roles

Maaaaaaaaaaaat Daaaaaaaaaaamon, best known for his role in Team America (2004)...we kid of course! Following Good Will Hunting (1997) Matt started in the epic Saving Private Ryan (1998), The Departed (2006)and also teamed up with George Clooney and Pitt in Ocean’s 11 (2001). All things considered though, the first thing that springs to mind with regards to Mat Damon (aside from Team America) is his impressive physical performance in the action thriller Bourne Trilogy. He’s also recently starred alongside Tina Fey in American TV sensation 30 Rock.

Project on the horizon to keep an eye on!
Fresh from We Bought a Zoo (2012), Matt is onboard for the next production from District 9’s director Neill Bloomkamp which is currently in post-production and due for release in 2013.

Robin Wiliams

Film that gave birth to his career.
Whilst Robin made a name for himself with stand up comedy, we remember his incredible performance in Dead Poets Society (1989) as John Keating for which he was nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA and a Golden Globe. We salute you sir!

Memorable Roles

Robin has a prestigious awards cabinet full of Emmys, Golden Globes, Grammys and Screen Actors Guild Awards. He has been around for a long time and for a very good reason, he’s an asset to any production. His filmography is just as impressive as you would expect, notable films include Hook (1991), Mrs Doubtfire (1993), Good Will Hunting(1997) , Flubber (1997), Insomnia (2002), One Hour Photo (2002) and the unforgettable Jumanji (1995).

Project on the horizon to keep an eye on!
We’re looking forward to ‘The Big Wedding’ in 2012. Directed by Justin Zackham (The Bucket List) Robin stars alongside beauties Amanda Seyfriend and Katherine Heigl. Some guy named Robert De Niro is also cast but we’ve never heard of him before, we’re assuming he’s pretty good?

Hugo Weaving

Film that gave birth to his career.
Hugo’s career took off with the release of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994). Cast as Drag Queen Mitzi Del Bra travelling across the desert in a tour bus with a fellow drag queen and a bisexual... It went on to win an Oscar for costume design and brought Australian cinema to the world’s attention.

Memorable Roles

Hugo is best known for his roles in The Matrix (1999) as Agent Smith and as Lord Elron in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. From drag queen, computer program to high elf, Hugo never fails to captivate the audience.  Due to his face being masked for the duration, he doesn’t quite get enough recognition for his fantastic performance as V in V for Vendetta! (2005) Take note people, the man under the mask is Hugo Weaving!

Project on the horizon to keep an eye on!
Cast alongside Elijah Wood, it has to be The Hobbit (2012) once again. In case you couldn’t tell, we are beyond excited, can December please hurry up!?
