Christian Bale couldn't breathe in Batsuit for The Dark Knight Rises

Christopher Nolan's eagerly anticipated third instalment to his acclaimed Batman franchise is fast approaching, and franchise star Christian Bale has revealed that he almost fainted because of his costume while filming The Dark Knight Rises.
Bale spends a lot of his time in the tight-fitting rubber Batsuit which comes with a mask and cowl, and said that he found it difficult to breathe in the suit, telling Empire "When it gets cold the cowl is extremely tight, and it gets better the warmer I get it; it becomes more flexible, but after a couple of takes I was trying to breathe properly in my nose. I was starting to see stars and I said, 'I have to take this off'.
And thank God, on this one I can - on Batman Begins I couldn't - so I had to get inside because I couldn't let anybody see me without the cowl."
The Dark Knight Rises opens in cinemas on July 20 and features the all star cast of, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Liam Neeson, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Aidan Gillen, Juno Temple, Matthew Modine, Joey King, Nestor Carbonell, Brett Cullen, Burn Gorman, Michael Papajohn, Tom Conti and Chris Ellis.
