David Slade quashes Josh Hartnett Daredevil reboot rumours
June 19 2012
With the reboot of Daredevil moving forward, the rumour mill is running rampant at who will don the suit, with Josh Hartnett supposedly in the frame to follow in the footsteps of Ben Affleck.
While the director is firmly in place in the form of David Slade, the man who brought us 30 Days of Night, he has quashed the rumours stating "Josh Hartnett is not being discussed or anyone else for Daredevil that was just some wishful thinking, we are not at casting stage."
So while it looks as though a 30 Days of Night reunion is off the table, the director went on to address the rumour that his Daredevil would shoot in 3D adding "I am firmly against shooting in stereo so it's unlikely to happen that way, and Fox is rightly against 2D to 3D conversions."
At present David James Kelly is rewriting the script for the reboot, which is based on the classic Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli Born Again storyline which sees Murdock's foe The Kingpin discovering Daredevil's true identity and using his knowledge to ruin the lawyer's life.
