Chris Pine would do Fifty Shades of Grey if the script is good
June 21 2012
With all the actors and actresses linked to the proposed film adaptation of the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey from British author E. L. James, Chris Pine who has been linked to the role of Christian Grey, has clarified his position on the role.
Talking to Celebuzz, the Star Trek hero said that while he knew nothing about the project, he would be happy to take a look at the script revealing "The only reason this came out is because I was asked on the red carpet in Las Vegas if I had read it, or if I was interested in it, on red carpets as people throw questions at you, you try and answer as quickly as possible.
But I don't know anything about it other than I know many women that are reading the novels, and enjoy them very much.
If it's a good script, I'd take a look at it, but I don't know anything other than that."
Pine isn't the only sought after actor to clarify their position with the hotly anticipated adaptation, Ian Somerhalder who is best known for The Vampire Diaries took to Twitter to say he isn't "desperate" to be in Fifty Shades of Grey, while Twilight's Kristen Stewart, hasn't ruled out appearing in the film.
Pine will next be seen with Elizabeth Banks and Michelle Pfeiffer in Alex Kurtzman's directorial debut People Like Us which opens on June 29 in the States.
