Marc Webb likely to return to The Amazing Spider-Man Franchise

Whose ready for another spin under the direction of Marc Webb? It looks like the director who brought us The Amazing Spider-Man will return after all.
Reports from the Los Angeles Times suggest that Fox Searchlight is considering allowing Webb to return for The Amazing Spider-Man sequel in return for upping his contract with the studio from one film to two.
After the success of The Amazing Spider-Man both Webb and Columbia/Sony are keen to have him back at the helm, which will see Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield return to their respective roles.
Star Trek and Transformers writing team Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have been hired to work on the script for the impending sequel.
While this will undoubtedly be good news for fans, a Fox spokesperson was not immediately available and Columbia/Sony declined to comment on the matter.
