The forthcoming RoboCop remake looks set to add more gravitas to an already stellar cast, with word that The King's Speech and Contagion star Jennifer Ehle has entered talks to appear in the Jose Padilha directed film.

The two-time Tony award winner is said to be in line for the role of Liz Kline in the remake of the 1980's sci-fi classic that will see The Killing's Joel Kinnaman as Alex Murphy.

RoboCop will follow Alex Murphy, a cop and family man who is transformed into a cyborg after being critically injured in the line of duty, and assuming Elhe signs on, she'll join the likes of Gary Oldman, Samuel L Jackson, Hugh Laurie, Jackie Earle Haley, Jay Baruchel and Sucker Punch babe Abbie Cornish.

Ehle will next be seen alongside Jessica Chastain and Joel Edgerton in Kathryn Bigelow's Zero Dark Thirty which tells the story of the military team who hunted and killed Osama Bin Laden.
