Scrubs alumni Donald Faison in talks for sequel to Kick-Ass

He was last seen on the big screen in Colin and Greg Strause's visual feast Skyline and word is that Scrubs alumni Donald Faison is in talks to join Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Moretz in the hotly anticipated sequel to Kick-Ass.

Deadline report that Faison is in negotiations to star as Dr Gravity, a baseball bat wielding masked character fights with Kick-Ass in the original comics, and claims to be a physics professor at Columbia University.

The sequel to Kick-Ass which will reportedly be adapted from both Mark Millar's comic book Kick-Ass: Balls to the Wall and his Hit-Girl spinoff, with the latter said to serve as the film's first act.

Never Back Down director Jeff Wadlow is set to start shooting in September in London and Toronto with returning cast members Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Nicolas Cage as well as new recruit John Leguizamo who recently joined the cast of the sequel as a bodyguard to Mintz-Plasse's Red Mist.
