Morris Chestnut joins Jeff Wadlow's Kick-Ass sequel

With shooting of the hotly anticipated sequel to Kick-Ass getting underway next month, word is that Morris Chestnut and Robert Emms have joined the cast.
Deadline report that Boyz n the Hood star Chestnut who was last seen as James in Tim Story's Think Like a Man will take on the role of Hit-Girl's adoptive father, while Mirror Mirror's Emms will join Donald Faison's Dr Gravity as Insect Man a member of Justice Forever.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will reprise their respective roles of Kick-Ass, Hit-Girl and Red Mist in the Jeff Wadlow directed sequel.
John Leguizamo is also on board as one of Red Mist's henchmen while Nicolas Cage is expected to make a cameo returning as Damon Macready aka Big Daddy.
Kick-Ass 2 has been adapted for the screen from Mark Millar's comic book of the same name and his Hit-Girl spin off, word is that the Hit-Girl series will serve as the sequels first act.
