October 7 2012
While he has retired the cape and cowl, Christian Bale has shown no sense of slowing down with reports revealing that he has signed on to star in director David O Russell's upcoming drama.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bale will reteam with his The Fighter co-star Amy Adams in a film based on a true story about a financial con artist and his mistress who worked with a federal agent in order to nab other criminals.
The ensemble cast is rounded out with the likes of Jeremy Renner and Bradley Cooper in a film that is currently untitled, written by Russell and Eric Warren Singer.
Charles Roven will serve as Producer for the film and said "David has put together an incredible ensemble of actors for what is going to be a powerful and emotional drama about one of the most memorable cast of characters in recent history."
Reports also suggest that filming will begin in February of next year in New York and New Jersey and Bale who was last seen in The Flowers of War has Scott Cooper's thriller Out of the Furnace and Terrence Malick's Knight of Cups in post production.
