The episode with Michael Madsen is Season 1, Episode 1 – Redemption. Detective Eddie Herman (Madsen) of Cobb county, Georgia is a homicide detective, solving major high profile crimes. Winner of the Detective of the Year award two years in a row, he’s at the top of his game. A missing persons case quickly turns into a gruesome double homicide and Eddie’s confident he’s got the killer cornered. But when his ego gets in the way and jeopardizes the case, the killer walks free. Filled with regret, Eddie is tipped over the edge and into the darkest place in his life, convinced the murderer will kill again.

You’re playing a cop in the new upcoming series Real Detective…

What a great pleasure it is because I’m always the villain. I’ve been trying to get away from it for so long and I’ve just been pigeon holed as the go-to bad guy…. At this point in my career I was hoping I could turn the corner and play the hero, be the leading man and get the girl at the end.

Hopefully this will be a signal to the producers and directors of the world to give me a shot at the big time, y’know.

Tell us a bit about the series about tell us about he episode that you’re in.

Well I’m a detective and he’s investigating a crime that actually happened.

Some guy was having an affair with another woman and he had a lot of money.

He didn’t want anyone to find out about it so he killed her and he killed her in a sort of grisly way. The guy was definitely a sicko. I got to play the cop, the detective and I got a big kick out of that.
