Acclaimed British Independent Filmmaker Emma Dark Announced As A Judge For Southern Malting’s 5MINUTE FILM FESTIVAL

30 April 2020

To continue the mission of promoting arts talent in the community even during these trying times Southern Maltings are pleased to announce their inaugural 5 Minute Film Festival

The Fan Carpet are excited to share the announcement that Acclaimed Filmmaker and friend of The Fan Carpet Emma Dark will be a Judge at the Inaugural 5 Minute Film Festival, from Sothern Maltings!

Most of us now have a very high quality video camera in the form of a mobile phone. Use it (or dedicated camera equipment) to produce your own film. The subject can be anything; fiction, documentary, experimental, animation, or mixed media. Just make sure it is no longer than 5 minutes in length. The competition is open to all ages and abilities.

How to submit your entry
Upload your completed film to WeTransfer and email a link to [email protected]. Include in your email a small personal biography (including your age if you are under 18) and synopsis of the film (cast, theme, etc).

Deadline
The submission deadline is 31 May 2020, and prizes include membership of the British Film Institute and annual passes to Southern Maltings film screenings (based in Hertfordshire, UK).
