Acclaimed House of Cards Actress Robin Wright set to join Harrison Ford in Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner sequel

With Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner sequel coming to Cinemas in January of 2018, it has bee reported that House of Cards favourite Robin Wright is in final talks for one of three lead female roles alongside Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling!
Variety reports that Wright will make room in her busy House of Cards shooting schedule to feature in the follow up to Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, and whilst plot details are sparse at present, it is believed that the sequel will pick up several decades after the original, and see Ford back as the replicant hunter Rick Deckard.
Written by original scribe Hampton Fancher alongside Michael Green, the Blade Runner sequel is based on an idea by Fancher and Ridley Scott.
Villeneuve is set to start filming in July with the film set to debut in Cinemas on January 12 2018.
As well as the aforementioned House of Cards, Wright is currently filming her role of General Antiope alongside Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman for renowned filmmaker Patty Jenkins which is due in Cinemas next June.
