Alan Dale added to David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

31 August 2011

While David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is all but done with on principal photography, it would appear that Lost alum Alan Dale has been added to the cast to fill a small role.

Dale who many will remember as Jim Robinson on long running Aussie soap Neighbours has joined the Stieg Larsson adaptation as a career police detective on the verge of retirement, and while there's no word on how long he shot his scenes for, it is thought that it took a few days at most.

Dale has appeared in a lot of television favourites including Caleb Nicol on The OC and Bradford Meade on Ugly Betty and will next appear in The Killing as Senator Eaton and the television movie Doomsday Prophecy.

Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo adapted by Steven Zaillian storms into cinemas on December 26 and features an all star cast including Rooney Mara, Daniel Craig, Stellan Skarsgård, Robin Wright, Christopher Plummer, Joely Richardson, Geraldine James, Embeth Davidtz, Goran Visnjic, Julian Sands and Steven Berkoff.
