Alice Eve for Peggy Carter
According to sources, Alice Eve (‘Starter for Ten’) is the frontrunner to play Peggy Carter in the upcoming superhero film ‘The First Avenger: Captain America’.
We already reported that Chris Evans ('Cellular, Fantastic 4: Rise Of The Silver Surfer') is playing the title character and Sebastian Stan of Gossip Girl is playing sidekick Bucky Barnes.
According to sources, ‘The Duchess’ star Hayley Atwell is also in the running. We reported that Emily Blunt ('The Wolfman') turned down the role, no word as to how far Keira Knightley went with the casting process, but Alice Eve and Hayley Atwell are both screen testing for the role.
Alice Eve is next seen in the forthcoming comedy ‘She’s Out of My League’ and ‘Sex and the City 2’, We will know soon enough who lands this coveted role.
