Altitude Film Distribution Announce The Release Of THE DISSIDENT The Untold Story Of The Murder Of Jamal Khashoggi

03 December 2020

BRYAN FOGEL’S UNTOLD TRUE STORY OF THE MURDER THAT SHOOK THE WORLD

“Edge of your seat intrigue. Riveting. A thriller of staggering relevance. This is a movie with just about everything. How can made-up tales of high-level treachery hold a candle to the scary realities on display” - Owen Gleiberman, Variety

Altitude have announced the UK acquisition of THE DISSIDENT, the explosive and cogent new documentary examining the murder of Jamal Khashoggi, due for release in UK and Irish cinemas from 5 March 2021.

THE DISSIDENT, from Academy Award-winning director Bryan Fogel (ICARUS) is a documentary thriller that plays out at the highest levels of power as it exposes the labyrinth of deceit behind Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s murder in the Saudi Embassy in Istanbul.  Offering a wealth of never-before-seen footage and unprecedented access to those closest to the story THE DISSIDENT is a story of money, tyranny and technology run amok.

A powerful, frightening look at an international cover up THE DISSIDENT illustrates that in today’s world, no one who goes against powerful forces is truly safe.

“Once again Bryan has taken significant risks to tell a vital story that should be seen and heard.  We are commited to a high profile release of this very important and urgent film to help bring justice for Jamal and continue our support for those seeking to share truth in journalism,” said Altitude.
