Amber Heard joins Channing Tatum in the Gregory Jacobs directed Magic Mike XXL

3 Days to Kill and Zombieland favourite Amber Heard has joined the cast of Magic Mike XXL alongside Channing Tatum under the Direction of Gregory Jacobs in South Carolina.

Magic Mike XXL will centre around Magic Mike (Tatum), Ken (Matt Bomer) and Big Dick Richie (Joe Manganiello) taking a road trip from Tampa to Myrtle Beach.

Heard's exact role in Magic Mike XXL has not yet been publicly disclosed, but Deadline reports that she will be the female lead, but True Detective favourite Matthew McConaughey is not returning for the sequel, however, Andie MacDowell was confirmed to be joining Magic Mike XXL's cast earlier this week.

Steven Soderbergh who directed Magic Mike will serve as Magic Mike XXL's cinematographer and editor.
