Angelina Jolie rejects Salt sequel script

Oscar winner Angelina Jolie who set tongues wagging at last month's Oscars ceremony has reportedly rejected the script for a follow up to her action blockbuster Salt.
The original film took 2010 by storm and made Jolie one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood, and saw Jolie as CIA operative Evelyn Salt who goes on the run after being accused of being a Russian double agent.
According to Moviehole, Jolie turned down a script written by Kurt Wimmer who penned the original, word is that he's working on a revision to win Jolie over.
While there is little more known about the sequel, Sony confirmed last year that the sequel was in the early stages of pre-production however original director Phillip Noyce won't be involved with the sequel after stepping away from the project saying that he had offered all he had to the Evelyn Salt character.
Jolie is set to take on the Disney character Maleficent in the upcoming live action film that will be told from the perspective of Sleeping Beauty's evil nemesis with director Robert Stromberg.
