Anne Hathaway wanted for Kay Cannon’s romantic comedy
She's currently filming her role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in the eagerly awaited Christopher Nolan directed The Dark Knight Rises and now comes word that the gorgeous Anne Hathaway is up for the lead role in an untitled romantic comedy from 30 Rock writer-producer Kay Cannon.
Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist director Peter Sollet is in talks to direct the film which is saids to be Hathaway's next film after The Dark Knight Rises should she sign on to star.
While not much is known about the forthcoming comedy, it is hoped that Cannon will bring some of 30 Rock's smarts, sass and snappy one-liners to the script.
Hathaway has proven she is an engaging romcom lead and Sollet's Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist had more charm and cool than your average genre offering.
Cannon recently penned the Anna Kendrick starring a cappella comedy Pitch Perfect and Hathaway is wanted for Tom Hooper's Les Miserables which just saw Robin Hood hero Russell Crowe sign on as the villainous Inspector Javert.
