Set in a small village in Belgium, Unseen follows a community in the midst of a strange phenomenon and explores the moral complexities which arise in its wake. A huge relay antenna appears, birds fall from the sky and, little by little, some people start ‘disappearing’ – they’re still there: they’ve just become invisible. For some, invisibility is a power; for others, it’s a disease. It can be used to protect yourself, spy on others, take revenge or dominate – a blessing or a curse. As more and more people begin to ‘disappear’, the Unseen are soon perceived as a threat, and the authorities want to control them.

Shadow Lines season 2 is a gripping, witty and glamorous, spy thriller set in Finland in the spring of 1956. Mixing real life historical events with fictional characters, the series offers a never-seen-before outlook on the Cold War. It is directed by AJ Annila and written by Katri Manninen and Kirsti Manninen.

Laurent Boissel and Emmanuelle Guilbart, Joint-CEOs and Co-Founders at APC, say “Mystery dramas continue to be a staple of broadcasters’ schedules around the globe and there is a huge demand for quality shows in this genre. Unseen and Shadow Lines are engaging, gripping and high-end series, which demonstrate their international appeal in the collection of global partners who have come on board each title.”
