Award Winning filmmaker Dan Brownlie and leading UK Horror Author Matt Shaw team up for Happy Ever After

14 July 2015

One of the UK’s leading horror authors, Extreme Horror Author Matt Shaw (Sick B*stards, PORN and WHORE) and award winning director Dan Brownlie - (Three's a Shroud, Serial Kaller and the upcoming The Tombs: Rise of the Damned - team up together to bring you one of Shaw’s most infamous characters and haunting stories, Happy Ever After, but they need your help to bring it to the screen!

ABOUT THE STORY
Peter loves Vanessa. He loves her a lot and is looking forward to starting a nice life with her, and only her. No one else to get in the way and mess up their beautiful relationship. He'll do anything for her. Absolutely anything to make her happy. Anything to see that beautiful smile of hers. Anything to live happily ever after with her. The only problem is - Vanessa doesn't know Peter and, more importantly, understand why she is cuffed to the dining room table.

Happy Ever After is part of The Peter Chronicles. 6 books in total following the life of a psychopath desperate for love. The books are available as stand alone titles or put together in two large collections (volume one and volume two). The titles include: Happy Ever After, GSOH Essential, A Fresh Start, All Good Things, Once Upon a Time.

STAND OUT PERKS
A limited edition paperback about the making of the film. The difference in this reality the whole project is a smokescreen for the author (Matt Shaw) to unleash his inner demons and kill the director (Dan Brownlie) and star (Jessica Ann Bonner) in the most gruesome ways possible.
Become a victim in his next book.

THE PROJECT SO FAR
Within the first six days of going live the project hit over 50% of the minimum budget to turn this sick story into a feature film for the true horror fan. No doubt helped by the fact there are some truly unique rewards such as personalised stories from the author, the chance to get killed in a Matt Shaw novel, invites to the film-set, parts in the film, costumes from the film and credits on IMDB - it is easy to see why public support has been astounding but the campaign isn’t there yet; they still need your help in order to get the cameras rolling early 2016.

To take a look at the project - including exclusive on set pictures of Scream Queen Jessica Ann, the official teaser trailer and see how to pledge on KickStarter.
