05 June 2010
Hollywood starlet Keira Knightley, star of the 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' trilogy was unable to give evidence in a harassment case resulting in the perpetrator going free from conviction.
Marek Daniluk was taken into custody in February after the star told police she felt threatened by his regular presence outside London's Comedy Theatre, where she had been performing in The Misanthrope.
Knightley was reportedly given several possible dates to appear in court to testify, but was unavailable on each occasion, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
On Friday Daniluk was told the case was finished and he was allowed to walk free.
