BAFTA Award winner Chiwetel Ejiofor revealed to be the villainous Baron Mordo in Marvel’s Doctor Strange

It has been revealed that Academy Award nominee and BAFTA Award winner Chiwetel Ejiofor will take the role of classic Marvel villain Baron Mordo in Marvel's Doctor Strange!
Deadline report that Ejiofor, who has been linked to a mystery role in Marvel's cosmic epic since January, and now it seems that his role has now been revealed.
In Marvel Comics lore, Baron Mordo is the mortal enemy of the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Stephen Strange since 1963, they were both trained in the ways of sorcery by the supernatural being known as the Ancient One, but Mordo eventually turned against his mentor when he allied himself with Dormammu.
This is amazing news, Ejiofor is a phenomenal talent and it is believed that his version of Mordo will blend elements from Marvel's traditional depiction of Baron Mordo and other comic villains.
Directed by Deliver Us from Evil's Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange is one of Marvel's Phase 3 slate and is expected to begin production this autumn at Pinewood-Shepperton Studios with a release next November.
Sought after acting talent Benedict Cumberbatch will portray the Sorcerer Supreme and he promised that Doctor Strange will bring a "huge new element" to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is also believed that Tilda Swinton will feature as a gender-swapped version of the Ancient One.
