Love IS all around this Christmas on NOW TV!

Martine McCutcheon launches Love Actually-inspired doorstep greetings service

Martine McCutcheon stars in promotional campaign for NOW TV’s ‘Greetings Gram’ service, which sees her recreate one of the most famous Christmas movie scenes of all time

New service allows Brits to send loved ones a personalised, socially distanced doorstep message printed on cards and performed by a messenger

Research also revealed the top 20 most re-watched Christmas movies! With Home Alone, Love Actually and Die Hard topping the list of the festive flicks we return to most

New poll by NOW TV reveals the average Brit will be spending 5 hours a week on festive zoom calls with friends and family over the holidays

Half of Brits (50%) believe this Christmas could be the busiest ever with all the extra planning required for virtual family get togethers

NOW TV and Martine McCutcheon have today launched a new ‘Greetings Gram’ service designed to spread Christmas cheer to friends and families that can’t meet in person.

Inspired by the hit Christmas movie Love Actually the new greetings service lets fans of the film send a free, personalised message direct to the doorstep of their loved one.

The festive greeting is printed in sequence on large cards and performed, in a socially distant fashion, by a friendly messenger on the doorstep of the recipient.

Launched to celebrate NOW TV’s new Christmas movie season, the bookable service will be available in London, Manchester and Birmingham and is subject to availability.

A video promoting the service sees Martine surprise an unsuspecting member of the public with a festive Christmas message, in tribute to Andrew Lincoln and Kiera Knightley’s famous scene in the festive flick.

Members of the public can apply NOW to send friends or family a Christmas message to remember.

The streaming service is also offering a digital ‘Greetings Gram’ alternative on the same site. Users can upload a picture of themselves and star in their own digital Greetings Gram with a range of fun festive messages to choose between. The gram is then animated and downloadable to share via social media or text message.

Martine McCutcheon said “This year has been tricky for us all, so all the more reason to go the extra mile and make your loved ones feel special. With NOW TV’s new Greetings Gram service, you can treat your boyfriend, auntie, mum or dad to a Christmas doorstep delivery they won’t forget in a hurry.”

Marina Storti, MD of NOW TV said “This Christmas NOW TV has got you covered! Not only do we have an amazing range of Christmas films available, but we’re also providing members of the public with a once in a lifetime chance to send their loved one a Love Actually inspired greeting! We hope our new Greetings Gram service helps spread some cheer this Christmas.”

New research from NOW TV also found that the most re-watched Christmas films ever are Home Alone, Love Actually and Die Hard, with the average adult watching 11 festive films over the holidays.

The study of 2,000 British adults reveals how the nation is preparing to spread festive cheer virtually this year, with 56% of us planning online celebrations and 75% looking for new and alternative ways to make this Christmas the best it can possibly be.

Almost half of us (49%) will be exchanging gifts virtually with people we’re not able to see in person, and predict we’ll be spending over five hours on festive zoom calls.

Research also showed 49% of us will be taking part in a Christmas quiz over zoom and 32% will be attending an online work Christmas party. Interestingly, with the addition of multiple video calls with members of friends and family to our Christmas schedules, 50% of us think this may actually be the busiest Christmas ever.

Almost three quarters of Brits (72%) admitted they are secretly relieved that they won’t have to attend as many gatherings in person this year and instead will have more time to relax with a quarter of us (24%) most looking forward to just bingeing Christmas films by ourselves.

Three in ten (29%) said they will be indulging in more festive films this year than ever before with over half (52%) citing them as the perfect distraction from current events.
