Ben Affleck set to Direct and Write with and Geoff Johns for Batman solo outing
It has been rumoured since he was announced to don the cape and cowl and now it is all but confirmed that Ben Affleck will Direct the solo outing for his Caped Crusader in The Batman.
Not only that, it has been reported that Affleck will team with DC Comics veteran writer to co write the script!
Deadline reports that there is no release date set, but it is expected that production will begin after Affleck completes Live by Night.
According to reports, the screenplay for The Batman is so far along that it will likely be finished before Affleck starts shooting Live by Night this November.
Johns is a great choice to co write the next Dark Knight adventure since he has long been one of DC's top writers and has worked on DC television shows including Smallville, Arrow and The Flash.
Affleck’s Dark Knight makes his debut in next year’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot on March 25.
