Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy on Marvel’s Doctor Strange wishlist

Now that Marvel Studios have appointed Scott Derrickson to direct the forthcoming adaptation of Doctor Strange, it has been reported that Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy are on the Producers wish list to join the film.
Deadline report that it is unclear what roles the British acting heavyweights are being eyed for.
Speaking about the film, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said that the film will will show the supernatural side of the Marvel universe explaining "There's a whole other side to the Marvel universe, which is the supernatural side, we haven't done anything that mind-trippy yet and for me, Doctor Strange is our doorway into that."
Doctor Strange will fit into Marvel's 'Phase Three' which includes Ant-Man, Captain America 3 and Thor 3 as well as possibly including the long rumoured Black Panther adaptation.
Cumberbatch will next be seen as Alan Turing in The Imitation Game in November and as Smaug and the Necromancer in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in December, whilst Hardy returns to cinemas in The Drop in November.
