The world is becoming increasingly visual. From apps like Instagram and Netflix, the digital age means we’re never far from visual entertainment. Our attention spans are allegedly getting shorter and there are less people reading books than ever before.

However, we’re also producing some fantastic films that rely on books for inspiration – adaptions that take the story from the page to the silver screen. But which is better? Thankfully, we’ve found something to help settle the argument. An infographic produced by Cartridge Discount looks at some of the most high profile book to film/TV adaptions to discover which is superior!

From Twilight to Lord of the Rings, it looks at the review scores by both user and critic scores alongside the box office and sales figures behind each book and film. While simple metrics can’t accurately capture the feel of a film – they definitely help you decide whether to watch it or read it!
