Breaking Bad favourite Bryan Cranston cast as the Power Rangers mystical mentor in Dean Israelite’s reimagining
It's never a mistake to add talent and with Production of Dean Israelite’s reimagining of the Power Rangers in full swing, it has been revealed that Breaking Bad and Trumbo favourite Bryan Cranston has been cast as Zordon.
Taking to Twitter the six-time Emmy Award winner confirmed that his giant floating head will grace the big screen as the Rangers' mystical mentor.
Set for release on March 24 2017, Cranston joins the team of Rangers; Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler, Becky G, Ludi Lin and Naomi Scott as they do battle with The Hunger Games and Pitch Perfect favourite Elizabeth Banksas the evil intergalactic witch Rita Repulsa.
This isn’t Cranston’s first go with the franchise, he previous provided various voices to the popular 90’s TV show Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Now that they have their Zordon, who will be his trusted robot Alpha?
Cranston has James Franco’s The Masterpiece and In Dubious Battle, John Hamburg’s Why Him? and Robin Swicord’s Wakefield in post production and returns to Cinemas in September with Brad Furman’s The Infiltrator alongside Diane Kruger.
