Brie Larson in talks to replace Emma Stone as Billie Jean King in Danny Boyle’s Battle of the Sexes
Sought after Birdman Actress Emma Stone who was set to play Billie Jean King has reportedly left the forthcoming sports drama Battle of the Sexes!
The Wrap report that acclaimed Room Actress Brie Larson is in talks to replace Stone as the feminist icon in the Danny Boyle produced feature film.
If Larson signs the deal to appear as King in Battle of the Sexes, Larson will square off on the court against Steve Carell's tennis champ Bobby Riggs.
The 1973 bout was a major sports attraction, and billed as a first-of-its-kind match between a male and female tennis star (purportedly) at their peaks.
HBO are currently developing a television drama starring Elizabeth Banks and Paul Giamatti.
Larson’s Room will feature at the 59th BFI London Film Festival.
