Carey Mulligan catches the eye of the Coen Brothers and Spike Jonze

Carey Mulligan has fast become one of the most sought after talents working in Hollywood ever since her starring role in Lone Scherfig’s An Education and now it is reported that the British babe is about to work with the iconic film making duo The Coen Brothers and Spike Jonze.
Mulligan is set to take the female lead in Inside Llewyn Davis, the Coen bro’s story about a 60's folk musician and while details of her role are sparse, it is thought that she will be required to sing.
Jonze's film is thought to be satire, centring on world leaders meeting to discuss major issues ranging from oil prices to imminent war where Mulligan will star alongside Joaquin Phoenix.
Mulligan can currently be seen in Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive with Ryan Gosling and recently had Shame from Steve McQueen at the BFI London Film Festival. She is currently filming Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby with Leonardo DiCaprio.
SHAME COMES TO CINEMAS NATIONWIDE ON JANUARY 13
