Check out Robbie Williams Music Video for Cars 2
Check out our very own Robbie Williams performing the end credit song for Cars 2, "Collision of Worlds". Cars 2 races into UK cinemas on July 22nd, 2011 but the soundtrack from Walt Disney Records is out now!
"Collision of Worlds", is written and performed as a duet with Brad Paisley and Robbie Williams, the talented, award-winning singer/songwriter who has achieved incredible fame as a solo performer and as a member of the group Take That.
Williams has sold more than 57 million albums worldwide, and is one of Britain's all-time top selling recording artists. "It's an international kind of song that's inspired very much by the film--it wouldn't exist if it weren't for the story," says Williams. "Brad turned up with his guitar and a basic understanding of what he wanted the song to sound like. He played me a few chords and we noodled and twiddled our way into forming this song. It's back and forth colloquialisms between two different countries speaking the same language and not understanding each other-until now."
In the film, star racecar Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) and the incomparable tow truck Mater (voice of Larry the Cable Guy) take their friendship to exciting new places in "Cars 2" when they head overseas to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world's fastest car. But the road to the championship is filled with plenty of potholes, detours and hilarious surprises when Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage. Torn between assisting Lightning McQueen in the high-profile race and towing the line in a top-secret spy mission, Mater's action-packed journey leads him on an explosive chase through the streets of Japan and Europe, trailed by his friends and watched by the whole world. Adding to the fast-paced fun is a colorful new all-car cast that includes secret agents, menacing villains and international racing competitors.
