Chloe Moretz joins coming of age drama ‘Hick’
'Kick-Ass' actress Chloe Moretz has reportedly signed on to star in coming of age indie drama 'Hick'.
Since punching her way to pint-sized superstardom on the back of her role as Hit Girl in 'Kick-Ass', Chloe Moretz has become quite the in-demand actress, having already shot 'Let Me In' and 'The Fields', plus landing one of the leads in Martin Scorsese’s The Invention Of Hugo Cabret.
The 13-year-old actress will play troubled teen Luli in the coming-of-age movie, which will be directed by Derick Martini in an adaptation of Andrea Portes novel.
The plot is based around 13-year-old Luli, whose parents are both alcoholics and she is left to fend for herself when they both leave home,
She goes on to take a gun and hitchhikes to Las Vegas, where she runs into a group of undesirables before finding herself caught up in a botched robbery.
In one harrowing scene, Luli is raped by one of the men she meets.
Filming is set to begin in New Mexico later this year.
