Chris Massoglia and Joe Dante talk The Hole 3D
The gorgeous Zac Ef.. no wait Chris Massoglia and Gremlins director Joe Dante spoke to Jessica Alken about their new film THE HOLE 3D.
Chris certainly gave the impression it was a lot of "fun" and everything was "really cool" when talking about working with Joe, shooting in 3D and working with puppeteers.
In 1984 Joe Dante introduced the world to Gremlins and now, 23 years later he gives us THE HOLE 3D. A family-friendly, 3D thriller that explores the fears and secrets buried in the minds of children. After moving into a new neighborhood, brothers Dane and Lucas and their neighbor Julie discover a bottomless hole in the basement of their home. They find that once the hole is exposed, evil is unleashed. With strange shadows lurking around every corner and nightmares coming to life, they are forced to come face to face with their darkest fears to put an end to the mystery of THE HOLE.
Joe Dante doesn't know where his fascination for two inch creatures that bite your legs comes from, but he did say that when filming Small Soldiers (1998) he thought of Gremlins 3 and when he filmed Loony Tunes (2003) he thought of Gremlins 4 and now The Hole, Gremlins 5 and you will definitely recognise his distinctive creepy style in the miniature marionette.
As we are The Fan Carpet, we always as our celebrities who or what they are a fan of. Chris went for Baseball (Minnesota Twins) and after a long pause, Joe said Movies.
Interestingly in the essence of the film.. Chris revealved that he is afraid of going to jail and Joe is afraid of never working again...
Chris Massoglia stars alongside fellow rising stars Haley Bennett, and Nathan Gamble. All of whom deliver strong performances. The trailer doesn't really do the film any justice. We enjoyed it. Let's hear what you think...
The Hole 3D hits UK Cinemas September 22nd.
