Chris Pratt may take the lead in Jurassic World

Guardians of the Galaxy lead Chris Pratt is said to be in talks for another high profile franchise in the form of Dinosaur adventure Jurassic World.

The Wrap report that the Parks and Recreation favourite is in talks for the lead role that previously had Labor Day's Josh Brolin linked to but apparently a deal couldn't be struck.

Life of Pi and The Amazing Spider-Man actor Irrfan Khan is also reportedly up for the lead role in the 3D sequel which has The Help babe ryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson of Melissa and Joey and Insidious' Ty Simpkins set to star.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but all will become clear when the film goes into production to meet its June 12 2015 release date.
